Dann-I seh: “Uncle Come”…

In 2003, Sonny Spoon introduced us to a new reggae sensation the world would come to know and love as I-Wayne. The rest as they say is history. I got a call recently from Sonny Spoon, who wasted no time introducing me to another extremely talented artist by the name of Dann-I. (Pronounced Dan eye…not Danny).

Damarah Danni, born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, is currently creating waves in Jamaica with his hit single, “Uncle Come”. What a mix up! You can’t help but smile at the lyrical content. Pure truth……………….unfortunately for some.

Signed to Sonny’s, “Sons Of Spoon” label, the future is looking very very bright for Dann-I…and reggae. This artist is full a lyrics…trust me. Listen to his tracks…all a dem. “Tek Life” and “Time Nuh Wait” are two more of my favorites.

This is just an intro, so gwaan listen and get acquainted and I will be back with a full feature with the artist soon.

In the meantime…

Chronixx – 1/2 Dozen Questions

Chronixx - 1/2 Dozen Questions

If you know me well, you know I cannot go a day without playing music from this artist I first heard about on February 19th, 2012. Yep…I even remember the date. The exact date to. Wanna know where I was? Mi a tell yu anyway. I was sitting on someone’s veranda in Stony Hil, Jamaica.

From the moment I heard “Warrior” and “Behind Curtain” I needed more. This music was like a drug and I was an addict. Addicted to the Chronixx and I needed no intervention. All I needed was some Dread & Terribe music to make me smile.

Topping the Billboard Reggae Chart in less than a week after it’s release, was his brand new EP entitled ‘Dread & Terrible”. Chronixx and the Zync Fence Redemption Band is doing the genre proud. Spreading the message through the music, while maintaining a level of professionalism that I can only hope is contagious.

Chronixx was gracious enough to take time out and answer my 1/2 dozen questions…and it’s my pleasure to place it here for you to read. Feel free to share with your friends. Doe mek good music hide eno. Pass it on!

Q. Greetings Chronixx, how are you?

A. Well yu done know, I an I is good eno. I an I is pleasant, and I an I is also dread & terrible amongst babylon. Ok.

Q.
There’s a lot I’d like to ask you but this is simply half dozen questions. One of your biggest fans in New York who is unfortunately visually impaired, with kidney failure as well, would like me to tell you ‘thank you’. She says while she is on her dialysis treatments your music is all she listens to. She said: ‘I love him and please tell him he makes me smile”. She’d like me to ask you who is your favorite artist since you are hers?

A. Well, I don’t have a favorite artist really and truly. I would have to list too many, and it makes no sense to say you have fifty favorite artists. I am a great fan of everyone who produces good music first and foremost. If I was to pick and choose like ten favorite singers, then on top of the list would be Peter Morgan, Jah Cure, then Beres Hammond, if we were to do the living ones. Then Romaine Virgo, who is like the greatest thing. You have people like Maxi Priest and whole heap of nice singers. But of all the singers in the world, I think my favorite is Dennis Brown, hands down. I don’t really like to go favorite and who’s best, but if it comes to the test I’d have to say Dennis Brown.

Q.
I recall an interview where you said the track ‘Behind Curtain’, was written by you for another artist. Am I understanding correctly?

A.
Well, yeah. You have that understanding so right. During that time, myself and Zync Fence Records, you know, we didn’t really have an artist within the camp. I myself was a producer, a composer, a writer and all a these things. We decided to compose some music, and “Behind Curtain” was one of those many songs that we did. It is also one of the many songs I ended up singing myself. So yeah…“Behind Curtain” is one a dem ting deh, and your overstanding is so correct.

Q.
I know you have been involved in the music industry since age fifteen or so. Producing, writing, harmonizing etc. Your “Dread & Terrible” EP is number one on the Reggae Billboard Chart, and as I type this you are currently on a European tour with your Zync Fence Redemption Band. You have done so much in a short period of time, I’d like to know what’s next for Chronixx after resting from this tour?

A. Well, what’s next for I an I is more road, more music, more writing, and more creating music. That is what gave the spark to everything else yu nuh! The music, the writing, you know, the substance within the music. We have to ensure that we don’t lose those elements, because that’s what the music really is.

Q. You have taught your fans so much with your lyrics, your spirit, your work ethics, your loyalty and your demeanor. Can you tell me one thing Chronixx has learned about himself in the last two years?

A. I’ve learnt about myself that I don’t make my mind up easily. Sometimes it’s very hard to decide, as I find I have a very high level of appreciation. There’s so much I appreciate and have a genuine love for, that it is hard for me to then pick one thing out of the many that are so beautifully made and fearfully created by The Almighty. It’s hard to pick any one thing out of creation and say I prefer this than that.

Even so with music, it’s so hard to pick one form of music which is such a great entity and a great creation within itself. It’s hard to pick one genre and say ‘this is me, this is what I do.’ I find it hard which is a good thing for me, but sometimes it frustrates other people. People love when you make up your mind fast and can give them quick answers. For me it takes time because there is so much for me to love and appreciate, that it’s almost too hard to single out one thing.

Q. Zync Fence Redemption and Chronixx are setting standards in the industry. Teaching others (if ones will listen) about setting a foundation and leading by example. If you had to address someone wanting to enter the music industry, what advice would you give?

A.
Everyone was created (whether you’re a musician or whatever else you may be), everyone was created with a specific purpose tied to their very existence. Within overstanding that, you have to now always stay in tuned with your inner self and your higher self. Only then will you be able to identify what your purpose is. Then and only then will you be able to make an impact within music, and that’s what music is about. The ones we remember are the ones who made an impact. It is not that you are to now go and try to be the most original artist, because originality is oftentimes a figment of our imagination. Everything has already been said and done before.

We as youths now entering the music business have to make sure, even if we haven’t yet identified our true purpose, [that] we are still attached, still closely connected to our higher self, so we can know what our true purpose is. Our impact will then be great and astounding, and for years and centuries, and ions…people will remember us for who we are. Yu dig? Ease out!

Zyoness – 1/2 Dozen Questions

Zyoness - 1/2 Dozen Questions

This lady right here is an inspiration to all. The moment a person begins to love everything about them self, is the moment they actually start living.

Zyoness has always been confident, humble, spiritual and gorgeous. She has always put God and family first and stayed focused on the goals she set for herself. She is doing some big things now and you know I had to catch up with her and get my 1/2 dozen questions in.

Q. Hi Nicole, how are you sis?

A. I am doing well and blessed. I am very excited about what is set before me and my journey as a plus size model.

Q. You’ve come a long way and I am proud of you. Proud of you not trying to fit in society’s little box. You are representing the full fabulous figure and you look great. What advice would you give to someone who is trying to control weight and stay fit and healthy?

A. Thank you very much sis, it’s not an easy thing to do. The first thing is to know your body and know what is healthy for you as an individual, and not what “society” says is healthy. You have to set realistic goals and take it one day at a time. Everyday should be an accomplishment towards your main goal.

Q. What’s your motivation?

A. After losing my brother on July 4th, 2011, it took a toll on my life. However, it also put my life in prospective. Knowing that life is not promised for tomorrow, I stopped putting things off and started humbly setting what was once dreams into actual goals.

Q. You are a part of the Full Figure Fashion Week 2014 in NYC. We are all so proud of you. How did this come about and what can we expect from you?

A. I was on one of those fashion sites and I saw that Full Figured Fashion Week was doing a model casting tour, and they were going to be in Atlanta. I decided to give it a shot and see what happen. To actually be chosen from hundreds of other beautiful plus size models, it is such a blessing. You can expect to see this face everywhere lol.

A. That’s right. You have always been a spiritual person. What’s your relationship like with The Most High?

Q. Yes I have always been a spiritual person, it keeps me centered. I seek The Most High first in everything I do.

Q. You always have something inspirational to impart. For anyone reading this who might be needing a ‘pick me up’…what advice would you give?

A. Thank you. My advice is to stay true to yourself and love yourself. Never give up on your goals. In anything that you do, do it with faith and The Most High will grant you the Grace to get through. Life is not always easy. if we stumble or fall, it is the getting up that defines our character.

Richie Drenz – 1/2 Dozen Questions

rd

I had a name I called dancehall artist Deva Bratt. I’d call him Drenz model because every time I saw Deva, he was sporting something trendy from Drenz.

Richie Drenz is someone I have admired for his vision for many years. He is one of those persons who does and says exactly what he feels, and how he feels it. Even to his clothing…it’s just Richie. Personality on a hanger. (My readers who know me must realize by now that he and I have similar personalities)

He is definitely not into that ‘box’ mentality. You know, that box I often tell people to get rid of. It’s not about thinking outside of it…it’s eliminating it…period!

I was online today and saw a link posted with Richie being interviewed by Winford Williams from OnStage. I clicked…listened…watched…then contacted Richie. Within minutes the interview was started and within hours I had my answers to my 1/2 dozen questions.

Richie is not just a fashion designer…he is also a celebrated author whose new book, ‘Climaxes’ is literally wetting up the internet. Yes mi dear…yu have yours?

Check it out…

Q. Hi Richie, how are you?

A. I’m doing great!

Q. You are a brilliant designer and now a published author. An innovator in all you do I see. Where does your motivation come from?

A. My innovation comes from my desire to create what I want, I would say. What I usually want is something you don’t already have, something new and fresh and different. Not only to stand out but even to subtly satisfy myself that I’m not with the crowd. I don’t want to be with the crowd and a lot of people have similar desires. They do not want to be followers, they want to be individualistic. Which is why my designs are limited editions.

My writing is inspired from reality, truth and relatability. For me , I’ve always thought reading wasn’t exciting, it was too fairytale and roses. So when I came in the literary game I wrote what I would enjoy reading and didn’t copy what everyone else had on the market. The truth and relatability in my books make them stand out from the other novels. My latest book was my memoir, ‘Climaxes’. It’s not only relatable, it’s true and honest and readers can feel the honesty as much as the erotic scenes.

Q. Give some advice to younger folks who are stuck in society’s ‘box’. What would you say to someone who has a story inside, or a particular look in mind that goes against the norm?

A. If you’ve got a story inside, which we all do, the greatest advice I could give is to be boldly honest about it. Speak the truth and it will resonate with your readers. Don’t worry about writing a perfect story, just get it out your veins and through your pen or keyboard. Just let it bleed! All your pain, all your regrets, all your love, all your happiness. After that you can worry about putting the story together…now that you have great material to build your story house with.

You know what? When I started making clothes, I started off doing t-shirts and it was against Jamaican society’s norm. They were sewn on the wrong side, and they were fitted. In my start up era, fitted clothes weren’t cool, as baggy clothes were in. I’ve always thought that baggy clothes were untidy and unsexy. I did wear them however, made them and sold them. You know what I found? Somewhere in the world people loved what I was creating and wearing. More importantly, I felt satisfied that I was comfortable with what I wore, instead of being uncomfortable for the sake of other. WEAR/DESIGN whatsoever you love be brave! Be you!

Q. What has been a high point in your career that gave you ‘goose bumps’?

A. TV always rake my nerves a bit but I’m getting use to that. What gives me goose bumps is being around my fans and seeing how excited they are to take a fan pic with me. It takes me to a place where its unequivocal to success when u know your art is adding joy to people’s lives. That they can connect with you so intimately through your art. I once had a fan who had to use her asthma pump when I hugged her, and it almost made me cry to see how mi nearly kill off di ppl dem pickney. A joke. It just touched me deeply to know I’m adding something some people treasure in their live. Goosebumps!

Q. What are you currently working on?

A. Just finishing up book 2 of ‘Heart of Revenge’, which will be released next month online. I have a hilarious comedy romance novel entitled, ‘The Jamaican Ninja’ that’s finishing up to be released later this year. I am also gearing up to release some caps and tops for the summer.

Q. What can we expect from Richie Drenz for the remainer of 2014?

A. Well, my business partner Oral Ashley and I have put some pretty awesome plans together for 2014. You guys will just have to wait and see them unfold. It’s always about raising the bar for us. 2014 is in good hands.

I’d say. I feel proud to be Jamaican right about now. This man is amazing and totally deserves our support. Click the link below and really listen to Richie’s interview. …By Yourself

...By Yourself

One of the best things you can do for yourself, is to do it BY YOURSELF.
Put your faith in the ability that God bestowed on you and forge ahead…no matter the odds. #tunnelVISION

The main obstacles in our lives are often times the persons we put our trust in.
#GOD #Self #thatOrder
Be dependent on no man/woman for anything.

Don’t be caught off guard either. Many are self-serving and thoughtless. Genuine humans are an endangered species now. Will you appear cold and detached? Maybe………..but at least if disappointments should come, you will be able to work it out honestly with yourself.
The only person involved.

Be impeccable with all you do…stay true and be honest. Sugar-coat nothing. Why waste sugar anyway. Give it straight and undiluted always. If honesty is a hard pill to swallow, that’s not your concern. Your job is to speak the truth at all times. Your truth. Let the chips fall where they may. It’s better to be disliked for speaking the truth, than to be tolerated for telling cushy little stories that people want to hear.

Since 2010, I have discovered a lot about people I used to trust, and yes, I am going to write about it soon. In the meantime be warned…it’s going to be dreadful in these last days. You will wonder what the hell happened to the REAL people you THOUGHT you knew. Don’t let it stress you. Hold the order, keep the focus. No matter how much lies they tell to defame you…no matter how they turn their backs on you and think themselves better than you. No matter how you feel as if you are all alone in the world, remember you will never be alone as The Most High sticks close to those who stick close to HIM and trust in HIM.

You will see people you cared or care about draw away from you with no explanation. Don’t be hurt and don’t be angry. Count all trials as joy, as nothing in the dark will go without illumination eventually. Hold your composure and remain dignified. The real people who are deserving of your attention will always rise to the surface.

This is just one of my midnight musings.

Paul Campbell – 1/2 Dozen Questions

1/2 Dozen Questions - Paul Campbell

(Google Photo)

I’m going to try and make this as informal as I can, as I have to write this in a tone that fancy words just can’t convey. No sesquipedalian words here whatsoever. Just plain and simple English.

I just had one of the most intriguing conversations, with someone who has always fascinated me. I have met and spoken with Paul Campbell on more than one occasion, but this conversation left me in awe. In awe of an amazing talent, an amazing human being. You’ll have to hold on a little longer for the Vlog featuring Paul, as at the moment, this is simply 1/2 Dozen Questions.

My grandmother always said, “Can’t? Wha name can’t? There is no such word.” The longer I live, the more I prove that to be true. After speaking with Paul today, yeah…I’d say it’s definitely true.

Paul’s journey is one that will inspire others to be all they can be. To pursue dreams with dogged determination…never giving up, and never taking ‘no’ for an answer. The ‘use what you’ve got’, and the ‘no excuses’, blended with a touch of ‘believe in yourself’ is what I walked away from our conversation with earlier.

This man is so much more than an actor……….he is one of the ‘Pearls Of Jamaica’. (Jamaica better recognize)…

His fans love him so much, folks (myself included) often call him by the name of a character he has portrayed, rather than by his government. You know…”wha gwaan Max?” “Wha yu a seh Priest?” That’s how great of an actor Paul is. He doesn’t just act, he becomes the character.

But was he always an actor? Does he have any other talents? Well…that’s what you’re here to find out, don’t it?

Q. Greetings Paul. How are you?

A. Well, I am indeed blessed, thank you. I am great.

Q. This is only 1/2 dozen questions so let me try to get as much info in here as possible. You are known and loved as a talented, versatile actor. We all know that once the name Paul Campbell is in the credits, the movie has got to be good. However, not many are aware of another of your talents. An artist…as in paintings. Tell us about this passion of yours.

A. Well, being a Fine Artist started when I went to KC (Kingston College) in Jamaica. I lived in Kingston 13, Maxfield Ave. Before KC, however, I used what I could find to paint what I needed to. This is how I expressed myself. Whenever I had problems and needed to get them off my chest, I would paint. I used my paintings as social commentary. I couldn’t afford paint, canvas and easels, so I started out painting on zinc. Zinc, ply wood, cardboard, anything. Canvas was a luxury then. So was paint.

I would use the chlorophyll from the leaves of plants as my color. Usually all my paintings were green. I also started using flowers for their color as well, and I would get purple, orange and red. The Bougainvillea flowers gave me the purple, and the Chrysanthemums gave me beautiful red and orange colors.

When I started art classes at KC, I had access to water paint and acrylic. Using acrylic paint stayed with me over the years. I was now painting with acrylic…on canvas. As time progressed, I went on to many exhibitions all over the world. My paintings were on exhibition all over Europe. I went to Lucerne, Geneva, Paris and London.

I remember being in Paris and having no money. My carpenter friend made stands out of wood. Square stands used to place paintings on in art galleries. I would take them and paint the four sides and sell them on the sidewalks of Paris as street art. Some of my friends in Jamaica still have a few of them.

Q. Where can the average Joe or Jane purchase a painting by the great Paul Campbell? And can you be commissioned to paint something for a potential client?

A. If anyone would like to make a purchase, they can contact my Publicist by emailing reelpaulcampbell@yahoo.com . Can I be commissioned to paint a one of a kind piece, most definitely. Simply send an email and we can take it from there.

Q. How and when did you get into acting, and what was your first major role?

A. The actor in me was always there. From I was small I can remember having a passion for acting. My mom always, always encouraged me. She would say, “listen mi son, if that is what you want to do, do it!”

I started out doing Pantomimes in Jamaica. I did a lot of mini roles in film, and I also did “Passion and Paradise”. My first major film was “Lunatic”, and after small acting parts across the island, I went to London to the Royal Academy of Arts. I then went to New York City where Chris Blackwell cast me in a new movie called “Third World Cop”.

My mother passed away three weeks before “Lunatic”, my first film premiered. At the premier, there was an empty chair beside me, then my girlfriend. I knew my mom was there in spirit.

To prepare for the part as the lunatic, I walked from Kingston to St Ann’s. I am a method actor who takes each part seriously. I lived on the street for two months, hair started to matte and lock, my feet were course and crusty. I had to run barefoot in the movie up hills etc, so I had to be ready for the part. The writer paid me a compliment I will always remember. He said, “everything that I thought about when I wrote this movie, you brought to the screen.”

Q. “Shottas”, “Lunatic”, “Third World Cop”, & “Home Again”, just to name four of the many films in which you have appeared, found you playing four different personalities. What kind of character do you enjoying portraying the most?

A. I prefer the rude boy role. That role is more textured and unpredictable. You never know what’s going to happen.

Q. “Jamaican Maffia”…your latest project co-starring Mykal Fax of “Bashment” fame, is slated to be released soon. Tell us about this film, and what we as viewers can expect.

A. First off, Mykal Fax did a great job and I am very proud of him. I want to see more of us coming together as Jamaicans in the industry. I play Solgie, the Don for the Jamaican Maffia. You’re going to have a love hate relationship with Solgie in this movie. It’s a wonderful film about being true to family. Some people say Jamaicans are always showing violence in film. It’s just a story, get with it. The Sicilian do the same thing and no one take it for more than what it is. A movie. You will enjoy this film from start to finish. I was happy to be associated with it.

JAMAICAN MAFFIA TEASER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0r7yRhmNbU

My two cents:

We should be ashamed of ourselves. We have an actor of this caliber and he is not celebrated more by the ‘powers that be’ …especially in Jamaica. We have a habit of looking out, instead of looking within. Right under our noses. We will big up every other actor except out own. When America and Europe come a calling, we wanna hop the wagon. There are some surprises to come from Paul Campbell shortly and mek mi tell unnu from now…there is no space on the wagon. Seen?

Check out Paul in “First Sunday” when you have a moment. The movie stars Ice Cube. Yea…I said Ice Cube. It’s not a new movie, but I bet some weren’t even aware.

Stay tuned for part two of this interview. Paul has overcome some things that few reading this could ever imagine. Get to know this great man…I’ll be back with more soon.

ole

Greg Nesbeth is one of Jamaica’s most talented artists. Lyrically, Nesbeth has a knack for keeping listeners hanging on his every word. Remember two of his many hits, “Board House” & “Guns Out“…now you see where I’m coming from.

In 2014 Nesbeth is hotter than ever. His latest hit, “Ole Gangalee” is currently topping charts across the board. I recently caught up with Nesbeth for my “1/2 Dozen Questions”, and this is what he had to say:

Q. Greetings Nesbeth. It’s been a while since last we spoke. How have you been?

A. It really has been a while. I’m great. Everything has been truly great.

Q. That’s always good to hear. So, your monster hit ‘Ole Gangalee‘ is climbing the charts rapidly. Tell me about this track…the inspiration?

A. Well, the dictionary calls a ‘Gangalee’ an unruly person, but I don’t really see it that way. I come to speak truths about the things going on in the world now. I paid homage also to Louie Culture cause a him come seh ‘Gangalee’ from dem time deh.  The inspiration is to appeal to the people. It’s about grabbing the public’s attention.

Q. The Original Gangalee Louie Culture…I imagine he appreciates the honor.

A. Yeah man. He gave me a good vibe. We spoke recently and he loves the honor. The future will determine if we work together on a project. We’ll wait and see.

Q. I have always admired you as an artist. Your music tells stories. What/who motivates you?

A. The motivation comes from people in my immediate surroundings. Not just my surroundings either. People all over the world. I listen to people speak. For instance a song like ‘Board House‘. I have to let people know if my board house can burn down and I am still standing, you can stand as well. No matter the adversity, you can overcome it. I am motivated by what I see everyday and can write and sing about it. Reality.

Q. What projects are you currently working on, and who are you working with, management wise?

A. I’m currently working with a company called Entertainment Soul Limited based in the U.K. My manager is Shanika ‘Eccentrik’ Dobson. I have also signed a deal with them. We have a lot going on in the pipeline, but at the moment we are focused on my upcoming EP entitled, “Taste Victory“. The single that is next to be released is called ‘Victory‘. The name tells you the mood I am in right now. These are just two of the projects to be unleashed.

Q. What else can we expect from Nesbeth in the coming year? And where can your fans interact with you on social media?

A. Fans can expect the best of the best from Nesbeth. Entertainment Soul works tirelessly on my career. 24/7. They’re hard at work as we speak. When a company works as hard as they do for their artist, one can only expect the best.

Too Much Hype in ‘MEDIA’

Too Much Hype in 'MEDIA'

(google photo)

I woke up to all sorts of ‘reputable’ media houses reporting this regarding Chronixx and his team this morning;

From http://www.one876entertainment.com among others. “Chronixx go farrin go hype pon some white security guards and get beaten to a pulp. Him tink say ah Kingston him de weh people frighten fi him?”

The so called report:
“At a reggae concert in Paris France at the La Cigale venue this past Sunday the 6th, the performers (Barrington Levy, Chronixx, Kelissa, Dre Island and French Roses Band) and their immediate parties were all asked to wear identifying armbands in order to have access to the stage and back stage areas.
But according to an eyewitness, Chronixx and his party refuse to wear the armbands and proceeded to rough up the security guards. After his performance was over and unbeknownst to him, a group of guards with high powered weapons and baseball bats were waiting in the wings for them. It was reported that the beating that Chronixx and his posse suffered was horrendous, they ran for their lives and sought refuge in a chateau. The occupants of the chateau hid them and had to call for the French Authorities in order to save them.”

My turn:
Okay…here’s what bothers me. I have been in this biz for decades. Never have I reported anything until it was confirmed. If confirmed and it show my people in a dirty light, I usually just let it pass.

To each his own though, right. If you’re going to report, at least if you’re not going to do some homework…just report and leave the judgment to the side. Let your readers comment as they see fit and you remain neutral. Being able to afford and maintain a website, newspaper, or radio station doesn’t a journalist make.

My first thoughts were…is this a pr stunt? Then I looked into it and thought about the caliber of artist Chronixx is. The level of professionalism that Chronixx and Zync Fence has been bringing forth the past few years. Then, with their career being so successful and recently topping the Billboard Reggae Chart, why would a stunt be necessary. Didn’t make sense.

Then I thought about slander. Someone was trying to shed a negative light on Chronixx and his team…on reggae, on Jamaica. So I opted to wait and see because we all know the truth can never hide. I got into it across the net this morning to because the HOW SOON YOU FORGET was apparent. The same people who a big up Chronixx one day a the same ones ready to jump ship and watch this young man’s name get tarnished the next.

Lots of posts from lots of people. Ummm. Makes you wonder.
Why can’t we have a shred of loyalty for one another? Since we all know that when the message of truths and rights get out, we have to expect all sorts of propaganda…why was anyone surprised. If Chronixx and im team did buss off some face inna Paris, I know it would have been justified. More time babylon haffi get beaten. But to say they were beaten badly with bats and guns and all dem tings is another story. Too much hype iyah. Unnu tink a suh rasta easy fi beat?

Anyway…I received this press release via my email.
Please read it. No matter what…Chronixx a mi artist.
I pray that Jah guide and protect them.
The hating has officially started. It means they are doing something right!

MEDIA RELEASE
April 15, 2014
Chronixx “Dread & Terrible Tour” is alive and well
This is an official statement from Chronixx Music Group, the managers and booking agents for Chronixx.
Members of the Chronixx Music Group management team are currently on tour with Chronixx for the Dread & Terrible European Tour which features Chronixx, Kellissa, and Dre Island. We have been present at all concert performances presented so far, as we are responsible for the supervision of all aspects of the artists’ production, presentation and security on tour. Our responsibilities including interface with show promoters and personnel hired by them.
It has come to our attention that a false report is being circulated by Platinum Camp by way of an email under the name of the Platinum Camp CEO. This false report includes a story alleging that Chronixx and members of his team were beaten by security personnel after their performance at La Cigale in Paris on April 6, following an alleged earlier altercation between the team members and the security providers for the show.
We would like to take this opportunity to categorically state that there was no altercation whatsoever between members of the Chronixx team and security providers at the show. There was also no incident involving Chronixx or any member of his team where anyone was beaten, nor was there any incident involving security personnel with high powered weapons and baseball bats as alleged in the report above mentioned. The “Dread & Terrible Tour” has continued with successful performances by Chronixx, Dre Island and Kelissa in various cities around Europe every night since the April 6th date in Paris. There are now 4 more dates remaining before the tour ends on April 20.
We consider the false report issued by Platinum to be not only unprofessional and irresponsible, but also very damaging to the credibility and good name of Chronixx and members of the Chronixx Music Group team. We have therefore consulted our attorney and will be seeking to have all necessary action taken to have this false report corrected, and any damage done repaired.
